Day and Evening Reporting
Job Description
- Providing a physically and emotionally safe living environment that meets the child’s physical, social and emotional needs
- Ensuring regular school attendance and compliance with any medical, legal or recreational appointments
- Coordinating communication and/or visitation with the child’s birth family, as outlined by the foster care agreement
- Providing emotional support and stability to facilitate the smoothest transition possible for the foster child and foster family
- Maintaining regular communication with the foster care agency and assigned case workers
- Attend applicable Family Team Meetings
- Participate in required on-going training (20 hours annually)
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 21 years or older
- Acceptable background check according to Nebraska State and Federal statutes and regulations.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Foster Parent Licensure
- Previous child care, human services, educational experience is preferred
- Pre-Service Training
