Foster Care Services

We provide a full range of services designed to recruit, train, license, and support foster families who open their hearts and homes to children in need.

At Embracing Heart Supportive Services, we believe that every child deserves a place to feel safe, valued, and loved. Through our Foster Care Program, we work hand-in-hand with individuals and families across Nebraska to provide stable, nurturing homes for children and youth from birth to 18 years of age.

Whether you're exploring foster care for the first time or you're ready to open your heart again, we’re here to walk with you every step of the way. Our foster care services include:

Recruitment

We actively engage with our communities to identify individuals and families who are ready to make a difference in a child’s life. Through community outreach, informational sessions, and one-on-one consultations, we work to find foster parents who are compassionate, resilient, and committed to providing safe, nurturing environments.

Training

Foster parents receive comprehensive, trauma-informed training to prepare them for the unique challenges and rewards of fostering. Our training covers essential topics such as child development, behavior management, cultural sensitivity, and navigating the child welfare system. We equip families with the tools they need to provide stability, love, and understanding.

Licensing

Our team guides prospective foster parents through every step of the licensing process. From application to home studies and background checks, we ensure the process is smooth, supportive, and aligned with state requirements. We are here to answer questions, clarify expectations, and help families meet all necessary standards to become licensed foster care providers.

Ongoing Support

At Embracing Heart, support doesn’t end once a child is placed. We offer continuous guidance, resources, and 24/7 support to our foster families. This includes access to case management, support groups, respite care, and specialized services to address the needs of the children in their care. Our goal is to ensure that both children and foster families thrive together.
